Every day we make many decisions on how to protect the planet. The biggest of them all is how we get around. Today Cadillac is joining Europe’s electrification journey by launching our all-electric, direct-to-consumer business in Switzerland, Sweden, France and Germany, with plans to expand to additional markets in Europe over the next couple of years.
The premium Cadillac LYRIQ built on General Motors’ revolutionary Ultium platform was the first Cadillac EV SUV to launch in Europe. The LYRIQ offers a high-performance premium experience with the latest automotive technology – in an all-new electric vehicle package.
LYRIQ is the embodiment of iconic Cadillac innovation and is designed to set new standards for the premium electric vehicle experience with leading features and technologies.
A 12-module, 102 kilowatt-hour Ultium battery pack and two Ultium drive units will deliver a GM-estimated 530 km of range on a full charge and 528 hp.
The LYRIQ’s bold design stands out against other cars in the premium vehicle category, making it the right choice for the European market.
Authentic materials, décor and an obsessive level of detail in exterior and interior design push the limits of vehicle personality, comfort and refinement.
The Cadillac LYRIQ EV is a harmonious combination of sculptural and fluid surfaces. The front of the vehicle is designed to blur the lines between the lighting and the black, crystal grille. A full glass roof stretches through to the roof spoiler, which is a key design feature as well as an enabler for aerodynamics.
The interior is clean and simple and styled with a wood and metal décor with intricate laser etchings that echoes the design of its exterior grille. A flowing, organic interior design incorporates the first production application of a large, curved-seamless LED display. The seamless integration of art and technology is carried through the rest of the interior, blurring the lines of separation of audio speakers, lighting and décor.
There are also a host of features on board to enhance the experience for drivers and passengers, including Super Cruise hands-free, eyes-on driving technology, which we plan to deploy in Europe once we have the required approvals, as well as active noise cancellation to create a peaceful driving experience.
